University of South Florida
Design/Build Infastructure Improvements New SE Chiller Plant
Location:Tampa, Florida

$8,000,000
This project consists of a 11,500-ton water cooled centrifugal chiller plant and is divided into phases; the first phase is 4,600 tons with two 2,300 ton chillers and includes the building for the ultimate build-out. Each additional phase will be 2,300 tons until the 11,500 tons is achieved over a 20-year period.

Design/Build Infastructure Improvements NW Chiller Plant Upgrade

The project includes a new 1750-ton dual compressor water-cooled chiller in conjunction with a new 1750-ton stainless steel cooling tower installed in this existing chiller plant. To conceal the new cooling towers, a decorative screen wall was designed.

Design/Build Infastructure Improvements Chiller 14 Replacement

This infrastructure system improvement project included a new 2300-ton chiller and an upgrade of the main chilled water header. The project was carefully phased with short outages over cold evenings to eliminate the loss of comfort control throughout the campus. All outages were completed ahead of schedule.

University of South Florida Design/Build Infastructure Improvements Cooling Tower 4 Upgrade Location:Tampa, Florida Completion Date: 2007 Construction Cost: $626,000 This project consisted of a renovation of an 1100-ton cooling tower to provide an additional 1500-tons of capacity and construction of a new condenser water header to allow any chiller to operate with any tower.

Design/Build Infastructure Improvements Hurricane Hardening Emergency Generation

Phase one consisted of installing a new 1500kW generator for the Health Sciences Center and phase two was the installation of emergency generator system and electrical distribution system enhancements for eight buildings throughout the campus.

Bay Pines VA Hospital Design/Build OR Renovation Location:Tampa, Florida Completion Date: 2009 Construction Cost: $330,000 This project was an Operating Room Renovation which included new interior finishes and mechanical/electrical systems including laminar flow supply diffusers.
